Applying for a home?
We cannot take, check or chase an application. Each scheme page links to the provider’s own application page, and only the provider can tell you where your application stands.

What we can help with
- A date, rent, status or provider on a scheme page that does not match the provider’s own page. Tell us the scheme and what you saw. We fix the page and, if the portal itself is wrong, tell you so.
- A cost rental or affordable purchase scheme that is advertised somewhere but missing here.
- A result from the eligibility or purchasing power calculator that looks wrong. Send the figures you entered (no names needed) and we will work it through by hand.
- A mistake in a guide, or a source that has been updated.
- Your alert subscription: a refund, a change of email, or alerts that did not arrive.
What we cannot help with
- Whether you are eligible for a particular home. The provider decides that from your documents; our calculators only estimate.
- Social housing, HAP or council waiting lists. Your local authority handles these. Our guide to social housing income limits lists where to apply.
- Legal or financial advice. Citizens Information and Threshold give free advice on housing.
